Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a faith-based, church-related Christian retirement community where seniors of Baptist faith and practice may worship and serve God together, cultivate meaningful friendships and care for one another’s needs ‘til Jesus comes.

Christian Retirement with a Purpose

Maranatha Village is a unique ministry built primarily for Bible believing Baptist church members, looking for fellowship with like "Born Again Christians" in a retirement setting. This is not just another housing development: it is a place where Christians come together to live reasonably, enjoy fellowship and serve the Lord as He enables. The Village Motto is "Helping One Another ‘til Jesus Comes".

Maranatha Village is for those who are not retired from serving the Lord. The Village functions under the direction of a Corporate Board of Directors, with its own elected officers, all chosen from among current residents. The Manager and Staff are responsible for the operation of the Village with 139 Villas, 100 Mobile Homes, 213 acres of land and several Service Buildings.

At the heart of the village is Maranatha Baptist Church where Sunday services, along with winter Bible conferences, concerts, and many other activities are held. Daily devotions are held each weekday morning. Go to the church web site  link-512

The church also operates a 20 bed assisted living facility on the grounds named Maranatha Manor.
There is a spacious fellowship hall (Hamman Hall) for planned activities. This includes monthly village dinners, films, and many other activities and programs. A well-equipped library is also situated in Hamman Hall.

A guest house, with six kitchenette rooms, is available for those desiring to come and see the facilities of the Village.
Twenty recreational vehicle spaces, with complete hook-ups, are also available. This is for short time stays for those who are interested in learning more about the opportunities offered at Maranatha Village.

Maranatha Village was launched in 1973 through the vision and energy of Floyd Conway and several sacrificial helpers. After much prayer and searching the Lord led the founders to acquire the 213 acre parcel of land in Highlands County, Florida that has been developed over the years into a significant Christian retirement community.

The Village is located among the orange groves approximately five miles east of Sebring and beautiful Lake Jackson. Today the Village contains four lakes, a golf course, a large full sized swimming pool and a host of other amenities.

Maranatha Village is a place for spiritual and physical refreshment that includes many opportunities for fellowship and Christian service.
